Everything Canidary Equestrian does for your stable
Canidary Equestrian is made for stables and riding schools. It brings a stable’s horses, people and riding times together in one app that works in any phone’s browser.
A record for every horse
Each horse has one page with what everyone at the barn needs to know.
- Add a photo, the color, breed, sex, foaling date, height in hands and stall.
- Each horse shows its owner, or that it is one of the stable’s school horses.
- The feeding plan and turnout sit on the horse’s page, with anything to watch for.
- Farrier and vet notes are read only by the horse’s owner and the people your stable chooses.
- Keep the horse’s documents, such as vet records and Coggins papers, on its page. Only its owner and the Admin see them.
- When a horse leaves, move it to Past horses with the day it left and why.
- A horse can also be archived, and its care notes stay on record.
Riding times without the back-and-forth
Riders see the open times in each arena and book one themselves.
- Set your opening hours and the length of a ride, and each day is laid out for you.
- Riders book on their own horse or on one of the school horses. A foal or a horse that isn’t ridden can’t be picked.
- Instructors set lessons with their riders and horses, and close an arena for a break or upkeep.
- Lessons can repeat every day, week, two weeks or month.
- Change a lesson in place, and its riders and instructor are told what changed.
- Your stable decides how many days ahead people can book and until when they can cancel.
- Riders hear when a lesson is set for them or when their riding time is cancelled.
- Riders get a reminder an hour before each ride and lesson.
Show-ups for every lesson
Keep a record of who came to each lesson and ride.
- Once a riding time has started, mark each rider Showed up, Cancelled or No-show.
- The day’s totals add up as you mark.
- Every rider can see their own record.
Lesson numbers at a glance
Count the lessons and riding times that took place, the ones cancelled, and who came.
- Look back over the last 30 days, 90 days or 12 months.
- The Admin and the people who manage riding times see the numbers.
A feeding board for the barn
Every horse’s feeds for the day on one board, ticked off as they’re done.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner come from each horse’s plan, with its turnout and anything to watch for.
- Ticking a feed records who gave it and when, so no horse is fed twice or missed.
- A count shows how many of today’s feeds are done.
- You can read tomorrow’s board a day ahead.
- The people your stable chooses can change a plan right on the board.
Care notes the owner hears about
Workers note what they see, and the horse’s owner is told.
- Notes sit on the horse’s own page, newest first, each with who wrote it and when.
- A note can be long, such as how a horse moved after a lesson.
- The horse’s owner gets a notice for every new note about their horse.
- Owners read the notes about their own horses, and the people your stable chooses read them all.
- Whoever wrote a note can delete it within an hour if it was a slip.
One calendar for the stable
Shows, clinics, farrier days and barn events on one calendar.
- Choose whether an event is for horse owners, riders, workers or everyone.
- People answer Going, Maybe or Can’t go, and can bring guests.
- Set a deadline or a capacity, and a waitlist takes over once the event is full.
- Events can repeat, and each one can have a location, a meeting link and files.
Roles built around your stable
Riders, horse owners and workers, with positions like Instructor that you decide.
- Every stable starts with an Admin, who sets up everything else.
- Add positions such as Instructor or barn manager, starting from the permissions of a Worker, a Rider or the Admin, and choose what each one can do.
- Create committees under a position to share the work. Everyone sees each committee and who is on it on the stable’s About page.
- Permissions are written in plain words, so you know exactly what you’re handing out.
Simple to join
People join your stable with its invite, shared as a link, a QR code or a short code.
- Your stable chooses whether new people get in right away or wait for approval.
- Starting a stable takes a couple of minutes, and whoever starts it becomes its Admin.
- Already in a puppy raising club on Canidary? Continue with your Canidary account, with no new password to make.
- Add your stable’s logo so the app looks like yours.
News that reaches the right people
Send updates to the people they’re meant for, and share your newsletter where everyone can read it.
- Choose whether an announcement goes to horse owners, riders, workers or everyone.
- Attach files and link the events an announcement is about.
- Upload each newsletter as a PDF, and people read it right in the app along with past editions.
Fundraising
Give the causes your stable supports a place on its pages.
- Post a cause with its story and a link to its donation page.
- Canidary Equestrian never handles money. People give on the cause’s own page.
Notifications that suit each person
Every update lands in the app’s inbox, and people can also get it by email or as a push notification.
- Each person chooses how they hear about care notes, riding times, reminders, announcements, and new members and horses.
- Push notifications work on Android, and on iPhone once Canidary Equestrian is on the Home Screen.
Privacy
A stable’s people, horses and schedules stay inside that stable.
- People see each other’s name, photo and the horses they own. Email addresses are seen only by the people who manage members.
- Only the people your stable chooses see who booked each riding time.
- Stables never see each other’s information, and there’s no public list of stables.
Works on any phone or computer
Canidary Equestrian runs in the browser, so there’s nothing to download from an app store.
- Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app.
- Sign in with a passkey, using your face, fingerprint or phone PIN, or with a password.
- Turn on two-step sign-in for extra security.
- Light and dark mode follow your device, or pick one in Settings.
- Choose the Classic or Modern app theme in Settings.
- Use it in English or Spanish.
