Help

Stable settings

Name the stable, invite people to join, and decide who gets in.

Change a setting

Officers who can change the stable’s settings

Press Escape to close a value without changing it. Everyone who holds an office can open the page and sees the parts their role has permission for: the settings need Change stable settings, the invites need Manage invite links, and Waiting to join needs Approve and block members. For a part you cannot open, the page names the permission and who can give it to you. In a new stable, the Admin has all three.

The stable’s name can be up to 30 characters. A logo looks best as a PNG or WebP with a transparent background, up to 5 MB.

The arenas, the riding hours and the booking rules are not on this page. Press Riding settings on Manage to change them.

  1. Open Manage from the menu and press Stable.
  2. The stable’s details, the standing invite and Waiting to join are at the top. Expiring invites and Delete stable are rows under More settings: press a row to open it.
  3. Press the value you want to change.
  4. Pick a new choice, or type a new value and press Enter. Each change is saved right away.
  5. To show the stable’s logo in the header, press Upload a logo under Header logo. Drag Logo size to make it bigger or smaller.

Decide who can join

Officers who can approve and block members

With approval, everyone who holds an office gets a notification when someone asks to join, and Manage shows how many are waiting. A person who is let in gets a notification and joins as a Rider, which can be changed on the Roles page.

A person who is turned away is told the stable did not approve them. Unless blocked, they can ask again with a working invite. Blocked people are listed on the Members page.

  1. Under New members, pick In as soon as they join, or Wait for Admin approval.
  2. With approval, find the people who asked under Waiting to join.
  3. Press Let in to make someone a member, or Turn away to decline.
  4. To stop someone from asking again, tick Block them from asking this stable again before you confirm Turn away.

Invite people to join

Officers who can manage invite links

People open the link or scan the QR code to join. The code can also be typed in on the Join a stable page.

The standing invite does not expire. Press New link to replace it: the old link, QR code and code stop working everywhere they were shared. If the stable has none, press Issue a standing invite.

  1. Under Standing invite, share the link, the QR code or the code. Press the copy button beside the link or the code to copy it.
  2. Press the QR code to show it full screen, for a room to scan.
  3. For an invite that stops working after a number of days, open Expiring invites under More settings, type the days in Days until it expires and press New invite. Leave it empty for an invite with no expiry.
  4. Press Copy link beside an expiring invite to share it, or Deactivate to stop it at once.

Delete the stable

The Admin, and offices given permission to delete the stable

The stable is removed for every member at once, with its horses, care notes, riding times, feeding board, events, announcements and photos. Members keep their accounts and their other stables.

No one in the stable can undo this. To ask for the stable back, use Message us in the Settings menu.

  1. Under More settings, at the bottom of the Stable page, open Delete stable and press the Delete stable button.
  2. Type DELETE and your password.
  3. Press Delete stable.
  4. If two-factor authentication is on, type the 6-digit code from the email and press Delete stable again.
