Riding times

Read the riding times

Your own bookings show in full. A lesson or a closed arena shows its title, and anyone else’s ride shows as Booked. Times already past are greyed.

Times show on your device’s clock. Your bookings lists everything you have booked from now on, and Stable rules for booking says how far ahead you can book and until when you can cancel.

1. Open Riding times from the menu. Today is picked.
2. Pick a day in the week. A dot under a day means you have a booking that day. Press the arrows for the week before or after.
3. Read the day’s card: a row for each riding time and a column for each arena. On a phone, pick the arena above the times.

Book an open ride

An open ride lasts as long as the stable’s rides do. A foal, a horse that is not ridden, and a horse already booked at that time cannot be picked.

A horse and a rider can be in only one booking at a time, and each arena takes one booking at a time.

1. Press Book on a free riding time.
2. Under Which horse?, pick your own horse or one of the stable’s school horses.
3. Press Book it.

Cancel a booking

You can cancel your own open rides until the time Stable rules for booking shows. Your instructor cancels lessons.

If someone at the stable cancels your booking, you get a notification.

An hour before each of your rides and lessons, you get a reminder.

1. Find the ride under Your bookings, or press it in the day’s card.
2. Press Cancel and confirm.

Set a lesson

A lesson must fit in the stable’s opening hours, and its arena, riders and horses must be free then. Each rider gets a notification.

The instructor gets a notification too, unless they set the lesson themselves.

1. Press Set a lesson.
2. Pick the arena, type the title, for example Private lesson, and pick the start and end.
3. Pick the instructor and the riders. Give each rider a horse, or leave No horse yet. Press Add a rider for more.
4. To set the lesson again every day, week, two weeks or month, pick Repeats and the last day.
5. Press Set the lesson.

Change or cancel a lesson

The riders and the instructor get a notification of what changed for them. A closing is changed the same way; Open the arena again cancels it.

1. Press the lesson in the day’s card.
2. Change the arena, the time, the title, the instructor or the riders.
3. For a repeating lesson, pick This lesson only, or This lesson and the ones after it.
4. Press Save the lesson. To call it off instead, press Cancel this lesson.

Close an arena

An arena with riding times booked then cannot be closed: the message names them. Press each one in the day’s card to cancel it first.

People who manage riding times can cancel any riding time that is not over. Everyone booked in it gets a notification.

1. Press Close an arena.
2. Pick the arena, the start and the end, and type a reason, for example Lunch break.
3. Press Close the arena.

Change the riding settings

The opening hours are the stable’s. Each person sees them, and every riding time, on their own phone or computer’s clock.

An arena with riding times still to come cannot be removed until they are cancelled. An arena that was used before is kept for the show-ups record.

The stable’s other Admins get a notification of each change.

1. Press Riding settings on Riding times.
2. Pick when the stable opens and closes, and press Save hours.
3. Change the ride length, how many days ahead people can book, and how many hours before a ride they can cancel.
4. Under Arenas, rename an arena, move it up or down, or remove it. Press Add an arena for a new one.
